1. Bring large pot of salted water to boil
2. Cook elbow macaroni until al dente, drain
3. In same pot, melt butter over medium heat
4. Whisk in flour and cook 1-2 minutes
5. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until smooth
6. Cook until sauce thickens (5-7 minutes)
7. Remove from heat, stir in shredded sharp cheddar
8. Add cooked macaroni and mix until coated
9. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, serve hot
