1. Heat skillet or griddle over medium heat
2. Butter one side of each bread slice
3. Place cheese between unbuttered sides
4. Cook sandwich 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts
5. Meanwhile, heat tomato soup in pot according to can directions
6. Stir soup occasionally until hot
7. Cut grilled cheese diagonally
8. Pour soup into bowls
9. Serve grilled cheese alongside warm tomato soup
