1 onion, diced

Brown ground beef with diced onion and garlic in skillet. Drain fat.
š« Step 2: Add to crock pot
Transfer browned beef mixture to crock pot.
š„« Step 3: Add beans and tomatoes
Add kidney beans (drained), diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.
š§ Step 4: Add spices
Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
š§ Step 5: Add liquid
If mixture seems dry, add ½ cup water or beef broth.
š„ Step 6: Stir well
Stir everything together until well combined.

Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
