π§ Step 1: Make rub
Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for dry rub.
π₯© Step 2: Rub pork
Massage dry rub all over pork shoulder, coating completely.

Step 3: Layer onions
Place sliced onions in bottom of crock pot.
π« Step 4: Add pork
Place seasoned pork shoulder on top of onions.
π― Step 5: Add BBQ sauce
Pour 1 cup BBQ sauce over pork.
π₯ Step 6: Cook low and slow
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours until meat shreds easily.
π Step 7: Shred meat
Remove pork and shred with two forks. Discard any large fat pieces.
π₯« Step 8: Mix with sauce
Return shredded pork to pot. Mix with remaining BBQ sauce.
π½οΈ Step 9: Serve on buns
Serve on toasted buns with coleslaw on top!
