8 flour tortillas
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (optional)
Sour cream, salsa for serving
Butter for cooking

š§ Step 1: Prep ingredients
Shred cheese and chicken if using. Have all ingredients ready.
š« Step 2: Layer filling
Place 1 tortilla flat. Sprinkle ¾ cup cheese (and chicken if using) on half.
š„Ŗ Step 3: Fold
Fold tortilla in half to create half-moon shape.
š§ Step 4: Heat pan
Melt small pat of butter in large skillet over medium heat.
š³ Step 5: Cook first side
Place quesadilla in pan. Cook 2-3 minutes until golden and cheese starts melting.
ā©ļø Step 6: Flip
Carefully flip quesadilla. Cook another 2-3 minutes.
š§ Step 7: Check melting
Cheese should be fully melted and tortilla golden brown.
š Step 8: Repeat
Repeat with remaining tortillas.
š½ļø Step 9: Cut and serve
Cut into wedges. Serve with sour cream and salsa!
